About the job
As an Account Executive, you own deals from the first call to the signature. You take a prospect that’s shown real interest, pick up the phone, and run it all the way to a signed contract: discovery, demo, a short hands-on pilot, the close. You carry a quota and you own your number. You’ll work alongside our other Account Executive and closely with the founders, who join on the deals that need them.
These aren’t one-demo, sign-on-the-spot deals. You’re selling into logistics teams where changing systems is a big commitment, so expect several conversations, a pilot on the customer’s own data, and a handful of people to bring along before anyone signs. The job is holding all of that together and keeping it moving, without letting it stall.
Your objectives
– Call the prospects that come through our marketing off the back of real interest
– Run discovery to understand what actually hurts: demurrage costs, no visibility on shipments, hours lost to manual chasing
– Give the demo tailored to their specific pains
– Run short, hands-on pilots on the prospect’s own live data and help the customer reach a clear yes or no
– Keep everyone who touches the deal on the same page, from operations up to the founders
– Keep your pipeline honest in HubSpot, and feed what works back into how we sell
About you
– 2–3 years in B2B sales, business development, headhunting or consulting.
– Comfortable on the phone and with senior people. You can call an executive, talk through their concerns, and not flinch at a no. A headhunting or cold-calling background is a real plus.
– Good with people. You build trust and real relationships quickly, because complex deals are won that way, not on features alone.
– You follow through, you’ve carried a quota, and you like owning a deal start to finish.
– You use AI to handle the grunt work (research, prep, drafting) so your time goes into the conversation.
– Keen to learn. You don’t need to know maritime logistics on day one, but you have to want to get good at logistics, supply chain and shipping fast. We’ll teach you and support you, and the appetite is on you.
– Languages: Dutch (native or fluent) and English (fluent) are required. German, French or Spanish are a plus.
– A driver’s license is required, since you’ll be visiting customers on-site.
– A network in logistics, freight forwarding or shipping is a plus.
