About Karomia ⚡️

Karomia is a fast-growing B2B SaaS company helping organizations turn sustainability compliance into business intelligence. We started by killing the pain of CSRD/ESRS reporting — now we're a full Sustainability Intelligence Platform: ESG reporting, GHG calculators, climate risk analysis, ESG websites, and AI workflows that 10x our customers' sustainability teams.
We just rebranded. Belgian banks (Belfius, ING and friends) are inviting hundreds of customers onto our platform a month. Pipeline is opening up across many markets. Our investor portfolio is fully signed. The next 12 months are about turning that demand into real revenue — and that's where you come in.
Our HQ is the Wintercircus in Ghent — Belgium's tech hub. We hang out there a lot.

The Opportunity

As our Business Development Representative, you're the first human a future Karomia customer talks to. You'll open conversations, qualify needs, and hand warm, well-prepped opportunities to our Account Executives.
This isn't "spam 200 people a day" BDR work. We care about the message. We have a Sustainability Intelligence Platform that genuinely solves a real, expensive, regulated pain. Your job is to find the right people, say the right thing, and make sure they actually want the demo.
If you want to learn modern B2B sales inside an AI-native scale-up, this is the seat.

Your Responsibilities

Prospect with intent: build target lists of companies that should care about CSRD, ESRS, GHG, or VSME — and figure out who in those companies actually decides.
Outreach that lands: run multi-channel sequences (email, LinkedIn, phone) with messaging tight enough that prospects reply with "yes, let's talk."
Educate, don't pitch: position Karomia as the obvious answer to a problem they already have. Reporting pain → intelligence platform.
Use AI like a pro: we expect every BDR at Karomia to be 3x more productive than a 1990 BDR — research, drafting, sequencing, all AI-augmented.
Feed the engine: share what you learn back to marketing and product. Your conversations are gold.

Who You Are

Experience: 1–3 years in a sales, BDR, or customer-facing role. B2B SaaS or sustainability is a plus, not a must.
Communication: sharp written and verbal — you can write a cold email a CFO actually opens.
Tech-savvy: comfortable with Claude co-work and code, n8n, HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and modern outbound tools. Bonus if you've already built sequences with AI assistants.
Driven & resilient: rejection rolls off you. You measure your week in conversations, meetings booked, and what you learned.
Curious: you'll be talking to sustainability managers, CFOs, and CEOs about regulation that changes every quarter. You actually want to understand it.
Languages: fluent English and Dutch or French (ideally both). Other languages are serious bonus.
Personality: high-energy, low-ego, sense of humor required.

What Success Looks Like

A predictable, qualified pipeline landing in your AE's calendar each week.
Win-rate from your meetings beats the team average within 6 months.
You become the BDR other BDRs ask for advice — on messaging, on AI workflows, on how to crack a stuck account.
We stop calling you a BDR and start calling you an AE.

What We Offer

Competitive base + uncapped commission. Top performers earn well.
Clear path to AE for people who want it.
Hybrid setup: Wintercircus on the good days, your couch on the bad ones.
A modern sales stack and an AI-native culture — we don't make you sell with one hand tied behind your back.
A team that ships fast, says what they think, and celebrates wins (loudly).
