Join Karomia at the Wintercircus in Ghent on our mission to help European corporates excel in sustainability and make their sustainability reporting transparent. We build B2B SaaS that lets sustainability managers spend less time on ESG reporting and more time on real impact. If you're excited about using cloud technology to make a positive change in the world, we'd love to have you on board.
The opportunity ✨
We're looking for a DevOps Intern with a strong interest in cloud infrastructure. You'll work alongside our engineering team on the platform that runs Karomia: the infrastructure, the pipelines and the automation that keep our product fast, safe and scalable. This is not a shadowing internship — you'll own real work that ships.
What you'll work on 🚀
Build and improve our cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure — compute, networking, storage and managed services.Write infrastructure as code with Terraform, so environments are reproducible instead of hand-clicked.Work with Docker and container-based deployments of our Node.js, Python and React services.Extend our CI/CD pipelines: automated builds, tests and deployments with fewer manual steps and fewer surprises.Improve monitoring, logging and alerting so we know something is wrong before a customer tells us.Contribute to cloud security: IAM and least-privilege access, secret management, vulnerability management and hardening — in an ISO 27001 context.Document what you build and share it with the team.Who you are 💡
Educational background: You're a student in Computer Science, Applied Informatics, Engineering or a related field, looking for an internship as part of your studies.Technical skills:Comfortable on the Linux command line and with Bash.Basic programming experience — Python, Node.js or similar.Familiar with Git and collaborative development workflows.Any hands-on exposure to cloud (GCP, Azure or AWS), Docker, Terraform or CI/CD is a big plus — but curiosity beats a long CV here.Soft skills:Passionate about sustainability and making a positive impact.Creative problem-solver with a proactive mindset.A high dose of motivation and inventiveness — you like figuring things out.Self-organising, and an effective communicator who thrives in a collaborative setting. What you'll learn 📈
