Moonbird is a health tech startup with HQ in Antwerp, Belgium. We develop and successfully commercialize the world’s first handheld device to help people do breathing exercises, improving well-being in a simple and accessible way. We are focused on making breathwork practical, human, and part of everyday life.

To support our growing team, we are looking for a Full-stack developer. This is a broad, hands-on role for a strong generalist who is happy working across the entire stack rather than specializing in a single area.

The role

You take ownership of technical projects from idea to deployment, solving practical problems wherever they appear. We are a team of seven, so you work closely with the whole team and have real influence on both the product and our technical direction.

Our software ecosystem

• Mobile: a React Native app for iOS and Android.

• Web: a React based web platform connected to a headless Shopify setup.

• Backend: Node.js and Python services.

• Integrations: APIs and connections between our devices, apps and cloud services.

• Infrastructure: deployment, security and operations.

• Internal tooling: internal tools and data pipelines.

How you’ll work

• Across the whole stack: you move comfortably between frontend, backend and infrastructure, solving problems wherever they appear rather than owning a single layer.

• End-to-end ownership: you take technical projects from idea to deployment and see them through.

• AI-assisted and pragmatic: you use modern AI-assisted development tools and keep experimenting with new ways of working.

Required qualifications

• Full-stack experience: you are comfortable working across frontend, backend and infrastructure, and can own a project from idea to deployment.

• Core technologies: hands-on experience with React or React Native, and backend development in Node.js or Python.

• Generalist mindset: you enjoy variety and pick up new technologies when a problem calls for it, rather than fitting a fixed technology checklist.

• AI-assisted development: you are comfortable using modern AI tools and curious about new ways of working.

• Languages: strong professional communication in English. Dutch is a plus.

Nice to have

• Speech-to-speech or voice based applications.

• Data science, analytics or machine learning.

• Building and maintaining data pipelines.

• Working with larger datasets.

• UX and product design sensibilities.
