Warehouse Optimization, Business Development Manager
Sales & Business Development
Oregon, USA · Ghent, Belgium
Company Description
Our software makes warehouses more efficient. Pulse plugs into any WMS through an API and optimizes slotting, picking, and 3D packing. It is linked to a digital twin of the warehouse, so warehouse engineers can simulate a change and see the gain before they touch the floor. Results: higher picking productivity, lower shipping cost and quantified what-if simulation/business cases.
The role
You’re a warehouse expert with a network in the industry. Using your expertise, you identify the operations with optimization potential fast.
You look at how customers run their warehouse operations, find where they lose time and money, and recommend the solution that fits their operations. From there, you guide the relationship and the stakeholders through to a decision.
What you’ll do
• Open doors through the people you already know in the sector, and keep the relationship warm from the first conversation onward
• Walk a customer’s operation and read it fast: where they lose time, where they lose money, where a change would pay off.
• Map how the warehouse actually flows, then back it with numbers: walk time, FTEs, fill rate, warehouse capacity, throughput.
• Match the right Pulse solution (picking, packing, slotting) to the way that warehouse runs.
• Work with our product and tech team to run POCs and prove the savings on the customer’s own data.
• Carry a project through discovery, business case, and proposal. The commercial side follows the expertise, not the other way around.
Who you are
• A seasoned logistics professional. You worked in a warehouse, ran one, rolled out a WMS, or spent years deep in the sector. You understand the challenges of an operations manager.
• You know a lot of people in warehousing, 3PL, retail, or e-fulfillment, and you can open those doors from day one.
• You understand operations well enough that the right fix is obvious to you before the numbers confirm it.
• You’re comfortable enough on the commercial side to guide a longer, business-case-driven conversation. You don’t need to be a career salesperson; the expertise comes first, the sale follows.
• Fluent English and Dutch
Nice to have
• Hands-on experience with WMS, warehouse optimization/automation, or other warehouse software, whether rolling it out or running it.
Why it’s worth your time
• A shot at conquering the world together. Optioryx is a rocket already mid-launch, active in 28 countries, from Mexico and the US to Australia, and climbing fast.
• An ambitious, enthusiastic group of people to build with.
• A financially stable company behind you.
• Something that actually works, with results customers can measure themselves, and a category you help build from its early days.
• The total opposite of corporate. Real ownership from day one and a go-get-it mentality.
• Direct access to the founders, so decisions are fast and the scope is yours to shape.
