Skinetix is a smart apparel and analytics platform for medical staff of elite sports teams who need to maximize player availability and make confident return-to-play decisions.
We deliver reliable, actionable insights based on individual muscle activity and movement. We do this by building a unique ecosystem of hardware, software and use cases, supported by a qualitative database of validated metrics.

We are a spin-off of Imec and VUB and have started pilot studies with several sports rehab centers and are launching a first collaboration with a top team in the Jupiler Pro League.

Your Role

As our Head of Business Development, you will drive Skinetix’ commercial growth in elite sports. You’ll work closely with club medical and performance staff, physio centers, sports scientists, and research teams, turning real-world challenges into pilots, partnerships, and long-term customers.

This is a hands-on startup role with real ownership, impact, and visibility.

What You’ll Do

• Build and execute the go-to-market strategy for an elite sports performance smart garment & analytics platform

• Develop relationships with elite clubs, physio centers, performance teams, and sports science departments

• Lead pilots and proof-of-concepts focused on muscle activity, movement quality, rehab monitoring, and return-to-play support

• Convert pilots into long-term partnerships and recurring hardware + software revenue

• Feed customer insights back into product, validation, and use-case development

• Represent Skinetix at elite sports, performance, and sports science events

What We’re Looking For

• Experience or strong affinity with elite sports, performance technology, or sports science

• Comfortable working with medical and performance staff in high-performance environments

• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable value

• Startup mindset: ownership, speed, and comfort with ambiguity

• Strong relationship-building and communication skills

• Bonus: network in professional clubs, federations, or universities
