About the company

At T-Mining, we are building Secure Container Release (SCR), a critical component of a modern harbour’s container release process. Our decentralized software solution is trusted and used by major ocean carriers, shippers, and intermediary parties such as freight forwarders and transport companies. Currently active in 20+ countries with 8,000+ connected companies, we process over 1.5 million container releases every year.

About the role

As our Marketing & Communications Lead, reporting directly to the Head of Growth, you own the voice, channels, visual presentation, and commercial narrative of T-Mining. You are the driving force behind how the global logistics ecosystem perceives our solution, how our commercial team wins deals, and how our rollout teams onboard new ports and terminals.

We are currently completing a comprehensive company rebranding and will shortly roll out a detailed brand book and design guidelines. We are not looking for a bureaucratic "brand cop" who just checks boxes or says no. Instead, we need a brand champion and creative enabler: someone with an uncompromising eye for aesthetic quality and crisp copy, who knows how to translate guidelines into stunning, practical assets and inspires colleagues across the company to elevate their output.

This is a high-autonomy role. You won’t be handed briefs or task lists. You actively scan our organization, platform data, customer wins, and market shifts to uncover angles, launch campaigns, and command the channels that matter most to our target audiences.

Key responsibilities

1. Channel Architecture, Scouting & PR Ownership

  • Map & own our distribution channels: Map out where our varied target groups (freight forwarders, carriers, terminals, shippers) spend their time and consume information.

  • Relentless channel scouting: Continuously hunt for new high-impact touchpoints—niche maritime newsletters, logistics magazines, industry podcasts, targeted webinars, regional events, and digital communities.

  • Build & manage our media/press list: Proactively build relationships with trade journalists and industry editors; pitch timely stories, milestone releases, and thought leadership articles to secure organic coverage.

2. Commercial Enablement & Terminal/Carrier Rollout Support

  • Own commercial collateral: Develop, refine, and maintain enterprise-grade pitch decks, one-pagers, product sheets, and demo materials that give the sales team an unfair advantage.

  • Supercharge rollout communications: Partner closely with our operational rollout teams during new carrier and terminal launches. Design communication toolkits, onboarding guides, and launch campaigns that drive rapid user adoption and minimize operational friction.

  • Deal & Indirect Sales Support: Create tailored collateral and co-marketing toolkits for ecosystem partners to accelerate secondary adoption across their customer bases.

3. Brand Championship & Quality Enablement (Post-Rebranding)

  • Translate the brand book into action: Take our upcoming brand identity and translate it into high-impact, easy-to-use templates (presentations, collateral, one-pagers, event booths, digital graphics).

  • Elevate team standards (Coach, not cop): Act as the internal benchmark for quality. Coach and empower colleagues across teams to communicate cleanly, professionally, and in line with our brand identity.

  • Direct creative execution: Personally craft high-level copy and core layouts, while effectively directing and briefing specialized external resources (freelance designers, motion animators, translators) when needed.

4. Ecosystem Storytelling & Digital Engagement

  • Uncover internal stories: Mine our platform data (+1.5M annual releases, 8,000+ companies) and customer implementations to produce compelling case studies, data-backed industry reports, and social momentum.

  • Organic & digital campaigns: Drive consistent, professional engagement across key digital platforms (especially LinkedIn) and email journeys that turn passive users into active advocates.

5. Product Marketing, Upsell & Community Events

  • Product Marketing & Platform Upsell: Drive key product marketing initiatives focused on converting freemium users to premium tiers and accelerating API integrations across existing premium customer bases.

  • Security Officer Events & Dialogue: Organize and host dedicated events for security officers and industry professionals, fostering dialogue and bringing expert speakers together to discuss key maritime security challenges.

What we look for in you

  • 5–8+ years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, tech, supply chain, or scale-up environments where you had broad, multi-disciplinary responsibilities.

  • Self-starter & opportunity hunter: You don’t ask "What should I work on?"—you bring finished proposals, fresh channel ideas, and creative solutions to the table.

  • Design & content standard: You have an instinctive eye for good design, balanced layouts, and crisp typography. You can immediately tell what looks professional versus what looks amateur, and you care about the difference.

  • Clear, persuasive English copy: You can take complex technical architecture or intricate port logistics processes and turn them into punchy, compelling business arguments.

  • Collaborative enabler: You enjoy working alongside sales, product, and implementation rollout engineers, elevating their client-facing materials without slowing them down.

  • Hands-on execution toolkit: Comfortable with modern presentation software (PowerPoint, Keynote) and design/marketing tools (e.g., Figma, Canva, HubSpot/Ortto, or similar).

  • Industry affinity: Experience or curiosity about logistics, maritime trade, and enterprise supply chain software is a strong plus. Dutch, French, or German language skills are a welcome bonus.

Engagement Model & What We Offer

We prioritize impact, velocity, and quality over hours clocked. We anticipate this role can be executed in a 4/5 arrangement (~32 hours/week) if managed fully in-house, or a 3/5 arrangement (~24 hours/week) if supported by external consultants on specific topics.

We are flexible regarding contract structure: freelance/contractor or payroll employment are both welcome.

  • Full ownership & impact: A pivotal, high-visibility role in a fast-growing European tech scale-up transforming maritime logistics, with direct influence on our commercial roadmap.

  • A fresh brand canvas: Step in right as our new brand identity goes live and shape how T-Mining is presented to the world across all media.

  • Autonomy with zero red tape: A flat, no-nonsense culture where great ideas are tested and executed fast without layers of approval.

  • Attractive compensation: Competitive package tailored to your status (competitive freelance day rate or attractive salary package with meal vouchers, commuting & teleworking allowances, and health insurance).

  • Bonus: Annual bonus directly tied to company performance.

  • Our base at The Beacon (Antwerp): Spacious private offices inside The Beacon, Europe’s premier innovation hub for smart ports, logistics, and AI. Located right between Antwerp’s historic center and the docks, it offers stunning views over the city and port, an inspiring community of maritime tech pioneers, fresh fruit, quality coffee, regular community events, and the obligatory ping-pong and foosball tables—all balanced with flexible hybrid working.

T-Mining is an equal opportunity employer.
