Social Media & Content Manager
Uma
Uma is a mission-driven health-tech platform supporting women through (peri)menopause with reliable information, accessible care and a strong community. We are not just building a digital platform, but a place where women and healthcare professionals feel heard, understood, and supported.
Our content is warm, clear, and practical, always with respect for medical nuance. No fluff, real impact.
Your role
As a social media & content manager (video-first), you are the voice of Uma across our social channels. You grow our brand and social presence through content that truly reaches women, resonates with them, and moves them into action, with a strong focus on short-form video.
You work closely with the founding team and get a lot of autonomy to help shape how we approach content and marketing at Uma. You get ownership, room to experiment, and the opportunity to grow your role along with the company.
What you will do
You take ownership of our content strategy and its execution, with a focus on Instagram and Facebook (LinkedIn and TikTok are a plus).
More concretely, you will:
-
Develop our content strategy and translate it into a clear planning and recognizable formats,
-
Create, edit, and publish posts, captions, stories, and especially short-form videos in Uma’s tone of voice,
-
Co-create content with our healthcare professionals: selecting themes, recording, guiding, and translating them into strong, accessible social content,
-
Keep your finger on the pulse by following up on comments and DMs to understand what lives within our community, which topics matter, and which formats work (and which don’t),
-
Take on community management: replying to messages, following up on conversations, and capturing relevant signals,
-
Help roll out campaigns and collaborations (e.g. launches, creators or influencers, events),
-
Share insights and learnings with the team and propose improvements,
-
Occasionally support mailings or our newsletter when needed,
-
If you want, you can also contribute to long-form content (blogs, scripts, educational formats).
Who we are looking for
-
You have 2 to 5 years of experience in social media, preferably for B2C brands,
-
You are strong in content and storytelling and know how to grow a channel,
-
You are video-first: you can film yourself and preferably also edit and publish
(CapCut, Adobe, or similar tools), -
You work independently, take ownership, and enjoy building things from scratch,
-
You communicate clearly and with nuance, even around sensitive topics,
-
Dutch and English are a must, French is a big plus,
-
You have an affinity with women’s health and community building,
-
Bonus points if you also have experience with TikTok or LinkedIn, can manage creators, or have worked with (small) paid social campaigns. Knowledge of SEO, GEO, or marketing automation is a nice extra.
Why Uma
You will join a young, warm, and ambitious team working on something that truly matters. You get a lot of freedom and responsibility, while also having many opportunities to learn from people with experience in health, content, and start-ups. Because Uma is growing fast, your role grows with it. More responsibility, more ownership, and most of all: more impact.
How to apply
-
Send us your CV and a short motivation (max. 10 sentences), or surprise us with a short video,
-
Proof of your work: a portfolio, accounts you managed, or 3 to 5 content examples,
-
Bonus (if you want to stand out 😅): take a look at our Instagram or Facebook and share a few things you would improve or approach differently, with a short explanation why. This can be brief, no need for a full analysis.
